Calling for Support.

The Egyptian Committee for Opposition the Torture calls all the Human Rights activists and interested to a peaceful protest gathering in front of the Attorney General office in the High Jurisdiction House at 1:00 pm in 26/6/2004, in the occasion of the international day of supporting the torture victims.

And this protest gathering came within different procedures made by the Egyptian Committee in order to listen to the voices of the victims of torture by the policemen, and to claim the Attorney General to take the necessary procedures on all communiqués and complaints that presented to him by the torture victims, and to act quickly in transforming of the injured person of the victims to the legal medicine, and also transforming all who has committed these inhuman crimes to the criminal trail.

Our Slogan will always be:

“ the citizen’s dignity is the nation’s dignity.”

And our goal will always be:

A nation free of torture.”

The Committee will organize a number of the activities in the same day:

Caricature exhibition, displaying life images of the torture victims, musical show, political conference.

All these activities will be held in the temporary location of the Committee in: Altaguma Party in Kareem Aldawla St., Down Town, Cairo, Egypt.
