Egyptian Human Rights Organizations Assembly

In Iraq.

The whole world realize now the true face of American occupation of Iraq, And what kind of democracy and freedom America brought to save Iraqi people from the constraint and torture of Sadam Hossien’s rule, And what is happening now in Iraq? It is only random and collective murders, bombing the towns, and wide range arresting.

Torture of Iraqi people in Abo Ghareeb jail and that has been published is nothing but the top of the ice mountain as International Amnesty has commented, And the few coming days will discover more of barbarian and savage practices made by occupation forces in all Iraqi jails.

The most dreadful of all is not the pictures of torture and abusing the people, but it is the statements of American and British soldiers that they had no previous idea about the necessary behavior during the war according the International conventions or the common agreed on traditions, whereas the occupation authority gave the soldiers a free hand to commit the most awful of crimes known until now.

The people of Arab World are suffering from torture now, The occupation forces torture Iraqi people by the most dreadful way of contempt human dignity, As it occurs in all Arab regimes with no exception, It is clear now that the purpose of torture is not only forcing confession, but its main purpose is breaking the well, conquering people, and there is no big difference if it was by American or Arab authorities, because it is always the same purpose to break the well of people and to make them easy tool of their torturers’ aims.

We, The Egyptian Human Rights Organizations Assembly, face the torture in Egyptian police stations and jails, and we do not find what the occupation forces did as a shock, but we consider it as a starting point of breaking the well of Iraqi people, and we claim with all international organizations to make fair and independent investigation and trail under supervision of The International Committee of Human Rights and under headship of special delegate of United Nations.

At the same time Egyptian Human Rights Organizations Assembly insist on applying the International Law and the 4 Geneva Conventions and the International criminal Court Convention, in order to hold immediate international Court in the place of committing the crime by the occupation soldiers, to protect international criminal justice.
