The postponement of
6 policemen Trail
Criminal Court of Alexandria, circle 19, in the hearing of today
21/3/2004, decide to postpone examining the felony number 17218 of the year
2003, the felonies DPt. of algomrque, and hearing it in 17/3/2004,
pleading and discussing the proofing witnesses , permitting access to the
testimonies, including the poces-verbal number 1444 of the year 2003,
aldekhela administrative , and declaration of the civil suit, whereas the
lawyers of the association [ AHRLA] demanded 10 million pounds as a
compensation for the inheritors of the victim, the defunct MR/Ahmed Khalil
Ibrahem.
The case's facts return to the 1st of Oct. of the year 2002,
when the aggrieved citizen Ahmed Khalil Ibrahem in his way to home, meeting
by accident the accused police officer/ Yasser Yossery, the adjutant of
Algomrque plice station, who arrested him and detained him, and also
starting savage torture processes by a number of secret detectives until the
victim died under the stress of torture.
Today, during the hearing of the case, Criminal Court of Alexandria made
clear discrimination in the interest of the the accused officers among the
other accused in different cases, whereas it has heard this case after
hearing and reading the rulings of all the other cases, then it started
hearing this case, all that in order to avoiding to stand in the dock with
other accused, which is considered as sharp discrimination between the
accused officers and the other accused persons.
Public Prosecution has accused the major/ Adel Ismael of forgery in the
report of arresting the victim/Ahmed Khalil Ibrahem, dated in 2/10/2004.
The Public Prosecution accused the major/ Yasser Yossery of the following
charges:
1-Giving the order of torture / Ahmed Khalil Ibrahem, in order to making
him confessing a stealing crime he did not commit.
2-Frogery in the arresting report of Mohammed Farok in 3/10/2002.
3-Frogery in the investigation of Ahmed Khalil in 2/10/2002.
4-Arresting Ahmed Khalil and Mohammed Farok with no right.
And accused the the rest of accused people, from the third to the
sixth, of torture Ahmed Khalil Ibrahem in order to make him giving false
confession.
The lawyers of [AHRLA] demanded, in the hearing of 21/3/2004, to not
molest the plaintiffs by the accused officers to push them to giving up,
besides the officers' pressure to proofing witnesses periodically and
constantly to push them to changing their testimonies.
